MAC Classifications

Marine City High School competes in the Macomb Area Conference. The conference consists of 36 schools from Macomb, Oakland, St. Clair, and Wayne counties.

The purpose of the Macomb Area Conference shall be to promote and administer interscholastic activities of common interest to the member schools. Specific objectives of the conference shall be to develop a structure and a set of procedures that will allow the Conference to adjust to changing demographic patterns, develop a broad base of participation so that member schools may be assured of competition and cooperation in a wide variety of activities, foster understanding, good sportsmanship and friendly relationships among the member schools. Within the MAC teams compete in different divisions for different sports, with re-alignment taking place every two years for purposes of competitive balance.
